As the Pendulum swings... Life slowly ticks away, Old friendships fade and sway. As the Pendulum swings... Life brings something new, While for some there's nothing to do. As the Pendulum swings... Days go by without notice, And all you hear is the distant churp of a lotus. As the Pendulum swings... Minds grow numb, People's heads get dumb. As the Pendulum swings... Think of the good thing it brings, And remember all those little things. As the Pendulum swings... Slowly ticking life away, Everything seems to fade and sway. Victims....aren't we all? |

I like it too. As the pendulum swings, new things spring forth, along with all the things that fade. Thanks for the poem this morning - its incredibly relevant for me today. |

I can feel the passing of time and the need to make every moment mean something rather than allowing it to pass with our (I can't find the word and that's so frustrating)-- what I mean is we slip into letting time direct us rather than our choosing what we do with our time. We feel beaten by the swing rather than the opportunity to increase with its passing. Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |
