Fraying dress hems Disturbances gagging Alien visage, grounded near fires At the end of snowball bushes Ashes charring the edges Over glazed mouths Of haunt-like words Pacing about, like little lost birds Burning away breath as we knew it Black-and-blue marks on the ground Passing along extra moons None of which we found Some malfunction, I’m thinking Eating face forms drowning Thrusting emotions to and fro Over nights risen, dark & lonely now Where is the hillside that we climbed? It’s yellow light halo…diffused Cordwood stacked on the porch No fireplace to use Hallways unpainted Shadows feeble on the wall Dreams wrapped in another napkin Rubbing another belly softly He is her left hand The wick of a lantern Where alternate doors burst open Different sultry mouth of directions Firing the smokehouse |

What a picture -- this one penetrates like smoke, couldn't keep all of it out (or in) even if I tried. ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸¸¸ºº> ~~(¸¸ ¸¸ºº> ~~~(¸¸ER¸¸ºº> |
