It's June
         -And you're so far from here
Yet, still, you are the incessant you in all my poems
I'm sitting on the steps outside my house
         -Watching a couple walk by
Enveloped in each other and bathed in the dim streetlight as they reach in for a kiss
I pull my legs to my chest and say a prayer
         -To no one in particular
That this couple gives up before anything hurts
More than it should.

Not sure if you are writing a beautiful love poem here or hoping that the couple breaks up before they end up getting hurt. Either way I liked it.
