--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I walked

and walked

it wasn't day; it wasn't night,
i wasn't asleep; i wasn't awake,

i walked,

suspended,

drifting.......

into an open field,

the corn was growing

high.....

into the arms of god,

into the face of sky  (where the miracles of august live)

i walked,

and walked,

into the fields of nameless flowers;

seeking eyes so blue,

seeking you,

but you weren't there,

so i walked

along the path of
dandelions and bumblebees,
butterflies and trails of tears of love long gone;

i walked

and walked,

and waited,

for your eyes of blue.

What wonderful imagery Michele...
and love the ending...
did you find those eyes of blue?
Hugs~

I quite enjoyed this poem.  It has such a euphoric feel to it.

We see much, observe little, and perceive less.

May those eyes of blue meet the windows to your own beautiful soul.

Lovely poem. Lovely you.

This touched me.  I understand this sense of longing, of wishing.

inkedgoddess - bluer than a morning's cloudless sky, deeper than ocean's blue, are what they are...

Though you keep silent,
the moon passes by unseen
behind gathered clouds-
your voice echoes everywhere
through the wind rustled pines.
