We meet,

in drops of rain,

in leaves that wander
the storms of august,

in the nuances
of the world nocturnal,

we meet..

for now,

through the language
of fingertips, reaching
beyond the sky that holds us.

Michele, this made me remember a thought I had when my boyfriend was in Viet Nam (during that war). I had an ephiphany one night -- I felt like we were united by the sky -- that we touched through the clouds -- this is what your lovely poem made me think of.
