Call Me James (Serena)

I remember when I first met Serena.
I remember the first words she said.
It was up on top of Diamondhead.
As she grabbed my arm she said, "I've
missed you so much Dwayne."
And I said "Are you talking to me?
Thats not my name. My name is James."
As she pulled me closer she said
"Stop teasing me Dwayne, it's been a
year since you disapeared, and I
thought I would never see you again."
"Well here I am, but I'm still not Dwayne."
"Why don't you introduce yourself,
go ahead and tell me your name."
"Stop fulling around, you know that I'm Serena,
you know everything about me, we were together
since 1993, and then last year you disappeared.
I never cried so many tears, and yet I never
gave up hope, for I knew that the world
was made for us two."
"Now that we're together again, we'll just
pick up where we left off, my passionate friend."
"Serena, it sounds like you really had something
special with your Dwayne, and I'm not trying
to hurt you, but let me explain."
"I'm not Dwayne, I really am James, and its
nice to meet you Serena."
"Oh Dwayne, you always did like to play games,
but if you promoise to hold me tight and kiss
me goodnight tonight, allright I'll call you James."
"I promise Serena, just remember to call me James."

It sounds like a good beginning for a story of Serena and Dwayne...James.

Thank you Margherita, Lee J, Earth Angel, Bonnie, Susan, passing shadows and Sunshine...
I wrote this with the thoughts of losing someone I loved and also an experience when I met someone that reminded me of her, not only the way she looked but her mannerisms...
I believe its Gods way of healing us...we meet someone that touches us in the same way as those we knew before...similar looks or personality...but theres much more to it than that...James
