Armed with appeal I hacked a path through life’s thick underbrush, a seeker and a searcher of ideas to kill, thoughts to cull, opinions to define, and a stance to take when facing to the sea. I did it all with no remorse till tired I planted trees to swing the monkey, me, you see, above stone footprints old and too inflexible for the wearer of new shoes. And I flung my body, hands, and feet, into reality with heart and soul left back home to suffer, plead, beg, cry, for me to follow olden trails and not fly through the sky. But it was great and wonderful, free and weightless in the air gliding like a bird in flight in search of nourishment and I lit the freedom flame each and every night. And then a happening, the flame dropped down to ground and begat unto itself a family of fire to incinerate my hold on tenuous foundations. Without a tree the monkey, me, plays on merry-go-rounds jumping always green to red till pleasure filled I pause to ask of no one, anyone, “Who keeps alive my heart and soul at that place called “home?” |

This carries a lot of weight-- I like its descriptive tone and the metaphors used. Much enjoyed. Susan Happiness isn't something that happens to you, it's created from within you. Joy is a state of mind. |

I only wish I could say I did it all without remorse or new shoes! The truth in your words astounds me and so often keeps me grounded. If you only knew Helen! Thank you for this, lady Sunday. |

Hi, Bluesy - Perhaps I do know because I nearly added "for Bluesy" to the title. Just remember that all things pass. Take care and thanks. |
