the mind swirls too much too many things to do kids, laundry, daycare breathe, just breathe one step on the grass lush grasses and crisp wind lift faces to the morning sky greeting our tired eyes breathe, just breathe rush and fill the tank waiting in line as usual running late still have to stop at the bank breathe, just breathe life fills every space wildflowers thrive in cement cracks birds fill the ears with songs and breath continually fills my lungs |

How your poem fits my day, my life! I have to go back to work soon, and have tons to do before vacation (is that a word?) is over. Just as I was doing my least favorite task today, cleaning out desk junk, our new big pup demanded to be let out. Normally, I take him on a walk with a lead so he doesn't run off. Today he was having such fun in the yard, trying to play with our older jealous dog, that I simply watched in wonder. Then the pup did it! In full blast, he ran in the large field with tall weeds and wild flowers, quite a treat from humdrum day. Of course, I tried to retrieve the partial retriever. (Wish us luck.) He's having a field day! You're poem expressed the balancing act very well. A delight to read! miscellanea |
