Forever Came Today

I’d love too sit and talk
about the good old days
But what good would it do
cause we went separate ways

Friends forever we said
but forever came too soon
I watched you fall apart
dancing too your own tune

I tried too help you stop
and take control again
Demons fought together
battles we tried to win

The war rages on inside
weakness you try to hide
It’s taken everything
you’ve even lost your pride

The streets are calling you
to come out and play
The demons are waiting
like they do everyday

Night sky explodes into
colors found in rainbows
Lying face down in the street
how long... nobody knows

I find you like before
and gather up the pieces
We try too fight the demon
your soul it slowly releases

The Sun begins to rise
with hope of a better day
God please help my friend
his forever came today
