Flowing is the lifebloods course Her fingers part as clothes, remorse Soaking sheen of poet’s shirt Aroused of daylight beacons pert Sometimes calm the still wells deep On bank of civilized communion keep In sudden surge the current swift To pounding blur emotions thrift Concurrent themes of inner dreams Fall short to plunge in neck lined schemes But not, a passenger to trail forgot Look in…look in beyond the surface rim The shallow sands demands seen smoothed And cradled there the deep needs soothed Where rough is carried to the falls In ease replenished curtain calls That then leaves cool around the bend A second bloom to rose Still sweeter in the time it knows Now clean the slate gray tides of fate Beneath the walls at heavens gate Repose, the clear of rivers run and knows Again Copyright Kkh 7/31/04 |
