Someone killed the childhood innocence,
Somewhere, out there tonight,
Someone else is hurt and bleeding,
Perhaps it was from a fight.

Somewhere out there,
There are truths waiting to be told,
Somewhere out there,
Many hearts are growing old.

Somwhere out there,
A baby is striving to be born,
And upon it's arrival,
From it's mother's arms it'll be torn.

Somewhere out there,
A number are destined to die,
Somewhere out there,
The Mourners hang their heads and cry.

Somewhere out there,
Someone will win the lotto,
But WILL they be happier,
In that shining hopeful tomorrow?

Somewhere out there,
A wounded animal dies,
Somewhere out there,
If you listen you may hear it's cries.

Somewhere out there,
Someone is taking their life,
And did it end their suffering,
Or fill their family's world with strife?

Somewhere out there,
You can see the coming of dawn,
Slowly, meandering,
Across the neighbour's lawn.

Somewhere out there,
Many hearts are breaking,
Perhaps they didn't realise,
The mistakes that they were making.

Somewhere out there,
Beautiful music is echoing round,
For the listener it cleanses the soul,
To another it's an empty sound.

Somewhere out there,
There must be love and laughter,
Somewhere out there,
I KNOW there's a happy ever after.

I don't usually like long poems as they tend to drag but this, this was wonderful

I like 'em short too, but only because I have trouble concentrating sometimes.

NOT THIS TIME.

This is remarkable in scope. Inclusion of all souls, lost and otherwise.

When you find that "happily ever after" send us all directions, O.K. Beautiful, Isis, i KNOW it's out there too, somewhere.

Great job Isis. I echo the statement made by Michael. If you ever find "happily every after" make sure to share. Once again great job.
