I am walking in the desert Hot sand burns my feet All around water sits All time I cannot drink My voice dry cracked My belief broken gone Where are they the old ones Sworn to protect me They I pray to in the night They I gave my belief why do they so great Not rest my aching feet Can so old beings as these not help my old frail bones Nor stop these sores from burns Am I alone is there no one Can I really be the last dieing in the sun Is this my end or a beginning of the Long Road Home ------------------ Pride of place in the human race goes to one without a trace, of subtlety style ego or grace for this position, I wish to say, i would be proud as i am greater than any other face in the crowd |

It was like others, a poem, that I like to think about for awhile. Good job. |

I read this many times. Extremely thought provoking. I have felt this way many times myself, awaiting an answer. Most times feeling abandoned. When the anger set in, that wonderful human spirit gave me what I needed to begin the Long Road Home. It was a lesson hard learned. Taught me by the old ones. Wonderful piece WP. -RS ------------------ |

Enjoyable read, Walter. I don't know where I am on my road either. Michael |
