My soul yearns and cries out,
The why, I cannot explain,
Wanting more than my daily life has to give,
It's greed is only to gain.

To gain new experiences,
New challenges and pain,
To feel as if it's time is worthwhile,
Without this I fear I shall go insane.

Expand my mind,
Don't just sit there like a ninny,
Educate and stimulate,
Wipe the dribble from your pinny.

For every joy experienced,
3 more stories are racked with pain,
For every night of indifference,
You abuse my soul again.

There is more to life than cars and football,
So much in the written word,
There's much more than a talent for farting,
Can't you see all that is absurd?

It's not about homelife,
Not about even me and you,
But for God's sake open you mind,
If not for me, then for you.

As far as you know,
The wisdom of times is untold,
The mysteries of life as well,
Listen my dear, and with your mind be bold.

I liked the mixture in this one Isis. The souls yearning for "expansion" (great title by the way)
frustration of not having a loved one feel the same way or even notice that you do. And that little slip of humor in there was just great!

I enjoyed reading this alot
