ONE You tower above us, a tsunami shadowing feeble sand castles of hope along the shores of misguided trust. One, you rise above us all the incarnation of Hate. Wrath, fire, and fury blistering through eyes set deep in madness - with a single motion scattered amongst the rocks, we fall, now, merely pieces of souls. Then you're gone. Gliding cleanly away into seas of tranquility while ravaged in the remnants of your ire torn flesh, (flesh of you), desperately tries to fuse itself into unity. There, with your great shadow once again rearing it's face at the very heart of hope, we know all too well the consequences of our sin. ------------------ Michael Anderson 4/26/99 And so, being young and dipt in folly I fell in love with melancholy, But dreams - of those who dream as I, Aspiringly, are damned, and die: EAP [This message has been edited by Michael (edited 09-21-1999).] |

Very dark ... the imagery pulled me in on this one, had to read it three or four times before I could tear myself away ... Engaging. Nocht ------------------ "Nunc lento sonitu dicunt, morierus" (Now as I hear this bell tolling softly for another, it says to me, "Thou must die.") |

Michael, I dont know how I missed this one...but I really felt the emotion...I loved the phrase, " pieces of souls..." Very magical just like you. ------------------ I beckon you to come...I lure you with my tongue... - poet FemmeFatale |

A vengeful and malificent God walks your dreams, Michael. I hope for all of our sakes he's illusory...but I'm afraid you might be right. Still building those sand castles in the face of destruction, DB |

Well, Deep Blue, that a vengeful god walks my dreams there is no doubt. However, this work is about three frightened children trying to find idendity within themselves and within each other in the eyes of an extremely abusive mother. Yes, I am still building those sand castles, but I still see that shadow too. Michael |

I'm so sorry and sad. I've known several in this situation and it's carried all the way to the crux of their being even now. DB |
