Note - This might seem like a love poem at first but it's not...it's actually rather tragic if I had explained it. But since it's fresh for me..there will be more to come. Look into my eyes dear, and listen to their melody Oh but please don't run away for I'd never crush a rose Please do not give up on me, the way the rest of them have Please don't make me lie to you, the way I fool the rest My smiles are not always pure, please recognize when they're not Speak not a word, ask no questions but please love don't let me be Hold me untill it all fades away Please don't make me be strong, this armor is becoming much too heavy If I am cold, please understand the anger that lies within I used to be innocent too, you know although I cannot remember those days Those days that seem like centuries, were only a few years back But back is a place I shall return to So please love, hence forth and lead me the way For these eyes have been burned by the tears held inside But if I cannot find your hand, my love I will understand This body was never meant for your praise This soul was never meant for the sun So I'll lurk in my shadows, please don't stay for me I'm sorry my love, for the misery brought upon you But realize my fair prince, that I had loved and I had cared and for once my soul had been spared For this I am thankful and for this I mourn because now as I see you turn away all that was left is now crushed and torn |
