Riding the white line Oblivion's calling Walkin' the wire Don't notice you're falling Floating on a cloud heart beating too fast Hanging off the moon wanting the rush to last Memories so real feelings from old days Looking in the mirror thinking of old ways God help me I want it I feel it as a need relentless in its intensity expanding as I breath Visions of razor blades pipes and rolled dollar bills A little taste of the demon that takes its time to kill Rocks, powder, Cocoa Puff powerful dreams to dream Wrestling with that time trying not to scream Waking up to snow fallin' down with China White Doing whatever it takes to make it through the night Dancin' with the Devil it's a heavy price to pay But lost within the high it can wait for another day Father Confessor Mother Mary I prayed for redemption but it better hurry It's wrapping me up It's pulling me in It's drawing me down It's coming again Addiction . . . ~~~~~~~~~ |

The poem:Well written, flows nicely, beautiful work. If you are indeed addicted to cocaine, or any substance, I highly suggest doing whatever you have to do to quit. believe me, if you don't you will pay a very dear price...your relationships, job and/or school, and in many cases your life. ------------------ "Despite all my rage, I am still just a rat in a cage." -Billy Corgan- |
