Men and women starve, Mothers cry in the street, with starving children at their side. Wars ravage all over the world. No peace will ever come, say the experts. Generals praise themselves for ingenius deathtraps they've constructed. Governments rape their people, Send police to monitor the minds of their people, And deny them the right to freedom of mind. Nature is indifferent to all this. Nature kills the good and the bad. Nature has no battles to win, and no people to rule. Nature has no hunger or starvation. I have many bondages to break, wars to win, and mouths to feed. I will search for the answer, Though modern dogma tells me there is none. So come search, leave your mundane lives, and search! Out there is the answer. Out there is the purpose of all this. Out there, we will find The purpose of the slavery, The purpose of the wars, And the purpose of the hunger, For in here, we are Slave to our own minds, Under attack from ourselves, And starved of any and all common sense. But where is out there? I know not. But we have to get out of here, Before our very souls are constricted! This was a bit of an impromptu poem, so it may not make as much sense as some of my other poetry. |

I loved this, I have posted similar poems in the past. We have to search for our answers within, then take those lessons learned, learn from them, better ourselves and share our learnings with others. If we don't do something soon, the world really will go to hell. My belief is the pioneers had the answer, and as time marched on we lost those values... Great work I'll tell you this...... No eternal reward will forgive us now for wasting the dawn..... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |

We are indeed slaves to our own minds, but in our own minds we also have the power to start the change! God grant me the serenity to accept the people I cannot change, the courage to change the one I can, and the wisdom to know it's me. ~Unknown |

you are right kid the answer is out there, and it's not hard to figure out, the people with power that want more power it's not money anymore at that point, and we are subject to it, not by choice, but sometimes by birth. The answer is us, do our part of what we can. each day, to help the world. love your work kid. Joel. I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |
