Victory, it does not exist for me. I fail to see the danger. I fail to see the darkness until too late. Dark things prevail over me. They guide me into the darkness, away from the light. Strangled cries from blackness yearn to be freed. Yet, I follow willingly into dispair. Endless torment assails my dark soul. Perpetual depression battles against my black heart. I lose my war, the fight is there. Truly I am pure evil. No goodness resides in my restlessness. Just a husk of what I once was remains. I give up what I care for most. I give up my hope. I want to give up my life, but it is not mine to give. It is gone, yet still here. It has been taken from me, but I still have it. As I watch myself die, my heart breaks again. I fall into ultimate sorrow and dispair. Jeff Frazier 4-99 |

~Oh Jeff,...this is so sad. What an expression. I too have been surrounded by darkness,..but do know that there is light in your heart that will blind you with hope and happiness one day. Please take care of yourself. *Peace. |

Spitfire, the light is dim, but I do now see it. It was been over a year since this piece was written, so a few things have changed for me. You, too can see the light, and not have to be surrounded by the darkness. I am greatful for you comment. Jeff |
