THE ROSE: Like a rose-bud opens: bit by bit Slowly, wondrously drawn So my heart is tentative. Revealing it Painfully faces dawn A deep rich red people stop to see A heavenly loving heart This pleasure to behold: the rose or me? Either way growth starts Where does it come from? People ask This heavenly living scent? The me in the rose in me behind glass From a broken stem sent. |

Good poem though I think you need to delve deeper in the explanation of this poem but otherwise good poem |

It's hard to know when to open yourself to someone isn't it? We don't want to show too much in case we get hurt. . . Wonderful poem. . . ------------------------------------------------------ That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

The only part about this I didn't understand was the part about the glass, but revealing oneself I truly understand, that's why every rose needs a thorn of protection, I think. Kathleen [email protected] |
