Lonely angels forever forgotten, Their wings hanging limply behind them, Collecting dust upon the ends from being dragged along the ground Beneath their tattered gowns. They wander about not knowing day from night For in their minds they shall see merely darkness everlastingly. If only they hadn't succumbed to such a drowing depth of sorrow In their quest for a mythical ecstasy, They might not have been blind in seeing That a truly pure and eternal happiness had existed. Now never to be found. |

I thought this was a GREAT poem!! I especialy liked the way you describe the wings dragging in the dust,the tattered gowns,mythical ecstasy.......those are great verses!!!!!
