Oh bird why taunt me so In this hour of grief All is black all i know You sit in the paleness of my wifes deathly shawl why do you sit in mocking salute to the woman so true whose end brought this grief The sharp of eyes see into my soul and the pain that resides there For my lost lovers soul Demon bird begone I beseach all thats pure in the night of the blindest fear From the window fly begone you hear How black art thou that sit way up high As black as the demon that will guide me to my hell That hath taken my jewel My sweet Arabeth I banish thee foul messenger Your words i wish not to hear Not for the year or year or the year No carrion crow or scavenger art thou merely a thieving bird who stole a soul Where is my sweetest love with hair of gold In which of your feathers I will have you Poor servant of the night No mere collector of eyes am i you will tell me what i need to know Or from here you will not fly How my beauty oft told has now left my palace grown cold her thrown of love on which you perch Vile tempter of fates leave this place stop your watch over my mourning face Let the still return to the night leave the stars and the moon face right quick quick vulture of souls take flight Never will it leave bird of night Sharp of eye fast of flight It sits in judgement by pale candlelight over my loves last heartbeat Before she took the final flight From my window no squaking cries As im silently watched through The ravens never closing eyes "Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil!- prophet still, if bird or devil!- Whether Tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore, Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted- On this home by horror haunted- tell me truly, I implore- Is there- is there balm in Gilead?- tell me- tell me, I implore!" Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore." |

Simply superb my darkly friend. Joel. I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |
