I sit in the darkness and stare into the fire. The beuty of the dancing flame fills my eyes Its heat careses my skin. But I look into the heart of fire and there i see the darkness I see the fire destroy its fuel What gave it life is repaided with death And further still i search the fire In the heart of the dancing flame What I see does not shock me. I my heart I knew In the heart of the flame. I see me and you. |

Hey Plug54, Thanks for plugging into dark passions, and a hardy. HHHHHHOOOOOOWWWWWWWWWLLLLLLLLLIIIINNNNGGGGGG Welcome from me. I love this poem, it goes beyond depth, What is left of a love into the ashes then more of the rubble then what is left again. We seem to take love into it's very ashes that has been consumed by the very thing that made it, "What gave it life is repaided with death" The love that made a union seems to have killed it. Anyway. Welcome again A great poem. Joel. I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel. |

Wonderful first poem welcome to the darkness see the souls all in a row the little girl with the fancy throw knocking tins to and fro the souls down quickly they go all the souls in a row darkness fire and hate they know in the twilight of the day the lives trickle into null see my soul in the row falling down way down low all the pain we'll ever know all the pain weve reaped we'll sow "Prophet!" said I, "thing of evil!- prophet still, if bird or devil!- Whether Tempter sent, or whether tempest tossed thee here ashore, Desolate yet all undaunted, on this desert land enchanted- On this home by horror haunted- tell me truly, I implore- Is there- is there balm in Gilead?- tell me- tell me, I implore!" Quoth the Raven, "Nevermore." |

Welcome to the Passions Forum! Nice way to introduce yourself. I like your work, and hope to see more of it here. Welcome again. ~* Megs *~ I was never one to patiently pick up broken fragments and glue them together again and tell myself that the mended whole was as good as new. What is broken is broken- and I'd rather remember it as it was at its best than mend it and see the broken places as long as I lived. -- Margaret Mitchell |
