I Am Wolf
~*Marge Tindal*~

I call your name out in the night.
The moon is howling too.
I scream at things that cause you fright,
I come to protect you.

I am the spirit
of the Cherokee
sent to light your way.
I am wolf.
I protect you on this day.

Into the evening shadows
I make my way with stealth.
I am Wolf,
I am your self.

*Written for my son, Steven ...
who has seen the honorable
~Spirit~ of the Wolf that dwells within.

Marge, a great poem, this caught my eye.
It is one  to howwwwllll for.
Thank you.

Joel.

I howl a mournful song, that echos within my chambered heart, for all to read? nay for all to feel.

Joel~
When you cry to the forest
in the night
the wolf will echo
with his own plight
Two souls meet
nigh' of moon
sending comfort
hope comes soon
In ancient meadows
of legends past
spirit howling
heard at last

LoneWolf~
I'm glad you enjoyed it.
He walks with the spirit of the wolf.

Marge this is wonderful work!!  Quite spiritual in a sense.  I'd love to know my animal totem!!
So, being Australian how does one go about finding out his/her totem???  < !signature-->

Marge, I love this! The spirit of the Cherokee in the wolf. It really is a beautiful poem. I wonder what animal totem I am!

Love and hugs,
Lizzie

Isis~
Very ~Spiritual~ indeed !
The heart of the great Cherokee beats strong.
Well, Australian or not ... you need to trace your ancestral roots ... when you find Indian blood (which you probably will) then you will discover the legend of your totem.

Kathleen~
Well, now you're REALLY confused !
No, Isis is Australian - I'm Cherokee
and 'Joel' is Joel !

Lil' Lizzie~
Thank you.  The ~Spirit~ of the wolf is in the Cherokee ....
Trace your heritage to find your totem.
Love ya'
