There’s a Demon There's a demon, which pursues me Devouring my soul- And the peace for which I'm seeking He doth from me with hold. Like the flames of Hell around me The tentacles of rage- And fury oft surround me- E'en more so as I age. Futility of passions Add fuel unto the fire I rail and strike about me The flames keep leaping higher. Death and devastation In every waking breath Frustration at the weakness which is all that I have left- And of the fabled Banshee- I've heard the mournful cry- A harbinger to tell me That, soon, I too, must die. ------------------ ~GS~ |

Gunslinger, I Found this an interesting piece. It read very smoothly and has an intriguing theme to it. Simply loved the "Futility of passions" line. ------------------ Michael Anderson When God puts a tear in your eye, He puts a rainbow in your heart. |
