Tired beyond all compare Shall I sleep, Should I dare? Another night safely past I wonder if this calm shall last No nightmares in the light of day Sunshine holds the demons at bay 'To sleep perchance to dream' One more nightmare and I'll scream Six days and counting, but no sleep still Oh Yes I certainly know the drill Coffee by the buckets, keep the light lit One more night and my wrists I shall slit I hear psychosis shall settle around If enough sleep isn't soon found Hysterical laughter, acting the fool Looking wild eyed and starting to drool It's OK I think no one will care If I eat with the cats and shave off my hair Start to look around with a vacant stare Or even carry on with my Teddy Bear He follows the shadows of the night Keeping me up till morning light He hides in darkness I know not where My he life he wants, for me he scares Moon lit times he comes to call Waiting for my sleep to fall Knowing that I'm never aware Of how he came to always be there But another nights finally past Maybe sleep I shall find at long last May Dragons guard my sleep this day Peacefully keeping the nightmare away ------------------ Set you heart free and your mind will follow. |

Dragoness, I have experienced some horrid, reoccuring nightmares in my life...so I must take this poem to heart...Hang in there, they do pass... ------------------ Michael Anderson When God puts a tear in your eye, He puts a rainbow in your heart. |

Very well expressed, Dragoness... ------------------ *Elizabeth* "Dwelt a maid belov'd and cherish'd by high and low, But with autumn leaf she perish'd, long time ago..." "Something sweet, something sort of grandish, sweeps my soul when thou art near..." |
