you sit back and watch me cry
knowing the pain i am in
i'm unable to show emotion
until the endless tears begin.

an emptiness, so deep inside,
empowers my hopes and dreams.
everything i thought i knew
is nothing... as it seems.

a piece of me is dying
and lying on the floor.
the dreams i had are over
and can only be no more.

if saddness shone like beauty,
i'd be brighter than the sun,
gazed upon my wondering eyes
and loved by everyone.

If indeed sadness did shine like beauty I would also shine...there is a reason it doesn't...Beauty lasts longer than sadness...remember that when you cry...things WILL get better if you try.
