If I could save the wasted days Separate the light from the shadows Time used to crawl across the ceiling With only interruptions from passing headlights Holes in my skin aching Screaming to be heard Begging to be satisfied Never ending Such a waste Never asking why Never questioning Everything terrible Thriving on the complication A traitor to my own soul A fraud Even though time has passed It kills me to go back there But there must be a lesson Hidden in the trash Somewhere |
