This poem goes out to my grandmother who passed away a few years ago.  I still miss her.

                     Heaven

Goodbye to you, goodbye to me
From this place I'll never see.

Her voice is loud and soft and clear
From this place I'll never hear.

Such grace and honour in her clutch
From this place I'll never touch.

So much she's learned, so much to teach
From this place I'll never reach.

She sends memories from up above
From this place I'll never love.

No one can visit, she cannot leave
From this place I'll never believe.

She shines with a soft angelic glow
From this place I'll never know.

Goodbye to you, goodbye to me
From this place I'll never be.

  With all my love  ~Shandelier~

this is so beautiful, brought tears to my eyes. i know what its like to lose someone...i read this once on a tomb stone....I AM NOT DEAD, I WILL DIE THE DAY NO ONE REMEMBERS ME...i believe this to be true, as long as we dont forget, they will always live deep inside us.

take care *HUG*

What a lovely poem.  I can think of no better way to honor your loved ones than by poetic verse.
