To love from afar
Is no fair game.
Unrequited,
Unreleased.
Light as a feather,
But never does it wane,
Never does it cease.
Truest as the bluest of seas,
Simply won't accept deceipt.

I can meander and mingle
In the vernal valleys
Of my piquant pretend;
Daintily dancing
In the shadows
Repugnant reality
Sensuously suspends.

So beautiful, my unmarred love.
So precious, my naive'te.
But no medal,trophy or ribbon
Shall I gain.

I, the victor/em, receive only
Perfect pain
For my gallant efforts
In vacuous vain.
