*Falling Star*

I seen a falling star this morning
It made my day seem right.
The smile that came over my body
made the darkness fade to light.

I thought about the events that made me what I am this day.
And took a second to believe that I can find happiness in today.

You see my life has never been easy,
It's a sad tale I cry.
Though it seems like yesterday, it's been years since I thought I would die.

I have no outward scars that show, just the ones upon my heart.
But you hardly find me there cause it's been shattered and torn apart.

I have a shield around me, it's armor tried and true.
It's been challenged her and there but none have broken thru.

Don't feel sorry for me my friend, one day I'll rise above, to realize even falling stars deserved to be loved.

Second, this was a wonderful poem. . . sometimes, falling stars can be beautiful too. . .

I have often thought that falling stars were put here for lovers
under the cloak of night, with just that perfect glimpse between that perfect kiss,
to see a falling star, with all it’s glory, and yours shines.

Very nice, if you have ever seen a falling star you will know that they are very awsome to look at. Also they on fall for a brief period. < !signature-->

Just wanted to thank everybody for the wonderful welcome and responses I have received!
If any of you are like me, poetry is an expression from my heart. Most of the time it is something I just can't say unless it is disquised in a poem or something I didn't know I was actualy feeling untill it was all in writing. And Oh! the relief that comes with it!!!!
I looked forward to being here and getting to know all the other hearts here as well...
