Hi. Sorry I haven't been too diligent in replying to other peoples poems. I've been a bit preoccupied lately. Anyway, here's my poem.... Head held high a fading echo of his once proud Scotsman's heart he walks through the jungle slowly purposely heeding not vines which would hold him back nor roots which strive to trip he walks through the jungle. Grey eyes blink defiantly holding back the tears holding back his weakness as he walks through the jungle. Arriving he kneels a supplicant before love's altar love's cold grey bloodstained altar. His prayer (does anyone listen) that his soul might die along with his body. A sigh his only protest as he stands wearily and steps onto the altar Prostrate naked he watches with eyes that once were blue as two hands take the knife that curs'ed knife and raise it high. He does not flinch does not scream as the knife descends and plunges deep into his loving heart. A gasp as the knife twists cruelly then silence as his blood flows once more on love's altar. His hands open the knife drops as with his dying breath he whispers his last mortal word the final "goodbye." |

This poem is seriously scary. :/ I don't like it one bit. Maybe poetically it's ok, but I'm really not sure. Ya &^%$*%! You know how I feel about this. GRR I.Skye |
