Accusations, hatred, bitterness, When did you become all I despise? You refuse to see the good in me, You cover the truth with your silly lies. Questioning, threatening, always seeking pain, When oh when will you learn, There is nothing to gain, All savagery often returns. The golden years are gone all too soon, You laugh as I sit and cry under the moon, Boredom, lonliness now second nature, When did you stop hearing life's wonderous tune? I have in me the spirit of light, But you've weakened me now, Don't know if I can continue the fight, Why not be the man and make it all right? There is only one corner of the universe you can be certain of improving, and that's your own self... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |

Once again Isis..great job and I understand where you're coming from. Unfortunately, sometimes people never take on the role that they should and be the man or be the adult in a situation. That's where we have to step in...you have the strength to make it through...just keep your determination. Angel, thanks it's not a fight as such, I feel, that I am the one with balls or a backbone, holding our little corner of the world together, and I am tired, so tired, of having to be the strong one. I want to be treated and respected as a woman... I know Isis...somehow this picture is all screwed up...life should be loving and caring and giving and sharing...I know we both agree on that. AS you say there is absolutely nothing to gain by critical or negative behavior. Very nice writing. James |
