Asleep, it chases me Awake, it stalks me Around corners, up in trees Alive in the moonlight Exists in sunbeams to shadow trips Haunts my essence with chilling tendrils claw my soul, grip my heart Let the blood run up the elbows congealing to crusty hard like a morbid erection flattened on cement sweet, salty, and delicious Ambrosia of Satans palace Licks its lips It lusts for more I'm running faster Not fast enough Can feel his breath like icicles dripping off the recesses of my spirit So afraid of the unknown beast Sleepless unrest... ------------------ Love always and blessed be my children |

Definitely haunting....loved the line "Ambrosia of Satans palace"...excellent work. ------------------ *Krista Knutson* "If I could be an angel, I'd make your every wish come true. But I am only human, just a woman lovin' you..." Trisha Yearwood |

I don't know how I missed this one - it is fabulous! ------------------ Yesterday is ash, tomorrow is smoke; only today does the fire burn. JP |
