can't really remember much from those days long ago
I was just a little girl I didn't really know
I din't know who you were can barely recall your face
and now I'm so insecure now I may be taking your place
too young to understand too young to know
just didn't understand where did you go
against my will I left was forced to start anew
but I never would accept I still tried to cling to you
so you'd call me on the phone and sing me lullabies
you told me I was beautiful then you told me soon you'd die
still can't understand I still don't know
why in that far off land it was your turn to go
where you really singing to me or singing to your past
you were far but felt so close how'd you know your life wouldn't last
so I prayed to god for help to take all your pain away
the most beautiful girl in the world and you died on christmas day
