ANGEL It`s bedtime now You have survived But bruised and beaten You lay in bed You`ve taken your punches One more time, one more day So rest now angel Dream sweet dreams Cause tomorrow knows another way To brake you down, blow you away But don`t be afraid I`ll be there To hold your hand and walk with you And if we fall, don`t let go We`ll both give in and let them win So rest now angel Dream away Dream about your final day Then all your wounds won`t hurt no more And mockery don`t mean a thing Life`s a game we can not win We beg forgiveness for our sin And soon will see the last cruel day Then all bright birds will fly away So rest now angel, get some sleep Tomorrow you`ll cry your final weep You and me will always be We`ll walk together endlessly... |

Once again...you speak of darkness with such beauty. This poem really touched me...but please understand my friend in the dark...that life doesn't have to win and the prize is worth more than the loss. Yours truly, Angel< !signature--> "The dark weight of the hour humming madly filling my head with blood and sorrow and dread the executioner's song." -Jewel "The Dark Bells" ~*Angel of Darkness*~ [This message has been edited by Dark Enchantress (edited 03-13-2000).] |

Darkly beautiful, can I ask is it about a child? May the world hug you today, With it's warmth and love. I pray it whispers a joyful tune in your heart, That tell you there is a friend sitting in another corner of the world, Wishing you well and wishing you love...... ~Isis~ (Goddess - Sovereign of the Spirit) |

Thanks for the replies, it`s good to hear at least someone listens. But no Isis it`s not about a child, I`m both the Angel and me. Angel was my imaginary friend when I were younger. It may be hard to understand, but since I didn`t have other friends I had to make them up so my parents wouldn`t think I was such of a loser. I called her Angela. And if I die, she dies to. "And if we fall, don`t let go. We`ll both give in and let them win" Thanks Espen |

Broken~ this is so very sad. I didn't have an imaginary friend, but I did have a teddy bear that was my best friend for a while when I was young. This is a great poem. -SEA |
