Do you recognize this? It's my heart I know why you might not, This is how it looked when we started. Yes, it did used to look like this Beating fully with passion and life Seemingly lost in love's wonderful bliss Having lived through life's little strifes But then one day, my heart stopped Arrested by your controlling, paranoid ways To me, it was like a bomb had been dropped It's a wonder that I even stayed But stay I did, as I got used to living without a heart As you molded me a new one, of your own vision When you transplanted it, my body rejected it with a start And quickly closed up the invading incision. Slowly, my body began to repair the damage done My strength began to return, my mind became clear This heart was stronger, bolder than the old one It gave me purpose of mind, and chased away the fear. My new heart and I will not be destroyed We've suffered at you hands for far too long No longer will you pull my strings, with my feelings you will not toy. For now, I have my heart and my voice, and with them I will sing a new song. -------------------------------------------------------- That which gives light must endure burning --Victor Frankl |

very good poem Sven and so true if love is conditional it only does us harm better to seek true love elsewhere though it is very hard to just give up on a dream sometimes they were meant just to be dreams ~*Love begins with a smile, grows with a kiss, and ends with a tear*~ |

ah yes...the search for unconditional love... emotional poem of strength Sven. jm Now for me some words come easy But I know that they don't mean that much Compared with the things that are said when lovers touch You never knew what I loved in you I don't know what you loved in me Maybe the picture of somebody you were hoping I might be jackson browne |
