As the night seeps in, I feel the icicles on my spine. The air, bitter from your presence. I remember your arms like branches keeping me safe. Now snapped like twigs from the tree of my soul. With you here, I was at peace. You were a soldier guarding the fort that was my mind and body. Now, unprotected, I am cold and alone in this devious world. Their lies tempting me, their cruel words slashing at my conscience. Where do I turn? End of the line, one way train going nowhere fast. This is me without you my love. |

Very good poem, I would feel the same way if my love is gone ------------------ "Despite all my rage, I am still just a rat in a cage." -Billy Corgan- |
