Darkened wings of night beat across the sky The biting chill cuts through skin and bone As the shadow of the Earth swallows the moon And cries pierce the silence with shrieks and moans Travelers make their way upon paths ill-kept Until a stream, a brook, a channel carved in stone The relation between sky above and Earth below is now just a forgotten dream While the day comes and goes The night lingers here, or though it seems A vast, unquenchable thirst, nothing worse, Coming from the pre-decided childhood dream Travelers passing like silent ghosts undetected But nothing escapes the timeless vigilance The air is thick with suspense, a waiting, As the travelers follow the stream with diligence The stream becomes a river, the river leads to the sea, With open arms, they embrace the stifling silence |

I really like how you use so much of nature, and the cosmos in your writing. I think they are all linked in some way or another with us...?? I mean, God created all of it, so why not? Beautifully dark side here. |
