OBSCURE Ah, as fallen hope lies idle, Passion, raging, doth yet unbridle- In the blinding stare of dreaming eyes, A vision none else could realize. Therefore just a misinclined thought. There to just while away and rot. Wherefore fervor bleeds away, Till even Pride's too scarred to stay. With the qualm of a dreaming child, Chaste in heart, with mercies mild. Free falling to a world, misgiven. Cast out the heavens, rent and riven. With abstained heart and tear-stained eye, The requiem of a tainted passer-by, Who, by the skein of Fate's entangled scheme- Extenuates within a life of dream. In such short time half, now, hath fallen prey- To the lurid stench of cerebral decay. With perturbed views none else embrace, Reality is mine, alone, to face. For no one's ardor holds a light to mine, No, even the heavens, I outshine. Yet my dream, my life, though innocent and pure, Seems perverted, distraught, infectious, obscure. ------------------ Michael Anderson And so, being young and dipt in folly I fell in love with melancholy, But dreams - of those who dream as I, Aspiringly, are damned, and die: EAP |

Cerebral is quite right. This is indeed a convoluted and complex rhyme. Well done. ------------------ Now and forever my heart hears ~one voice~. DreamEvil© |
