God, I wish I could go back
to being what I was.
Cutting no one any slack
and hurting them, "Because."
I want to carve out this heart
and toss it to the dogs.
Peel this pain back to the start
and go to sawing logs.
Nothing is worse than sorrow,
except perhaps disdain.
I'll be myself tomorrow,
tonight I'll feel the pain.

Sometimes feeling just plain sucks, huh?
Oh well, the pendulum swings and next thing you know, you're cold and desensitized, where we all would love to be at times.

I enjoyed this poem Dream. Sometimes I wish I could just shut it all off myself. I hate that feeling.. Sleep does not come easily to those who are feeling emotional pain.
