         D e
Say it. Say it out loud
Feel the yawning space in your mouth.
Feel the yearning space.
        Z a i
Feel the ah spread down your throat
Tingling at your stomach
Twinging at your thighs.
         Y e r
Say it.  Say it out loud.
Feel the yawning
Feel the yearning
   Feel.

then she thinks about her life...
Pulls her hair back as she screams,
I don't really want to live this life!"

This, i have to say, is my favorite poem out of all that i have read on this forum. It makes you act out a part of the poem to "feel" the words. Very creative. Hats off to ya Wendy

Thanks to you both. *grin* I don't really know where this one came from... No special story or anything... but such compliments from you two of all people are REALLY awesome! (It's like getting patted on the back by Shakespeare or Yeats...  )  -wen

I am everything you need.
I am everything inside of you
That you wish you could be
I say all the right things
At exactly the right time
But I mean nothing to you
And I don't know why."

wendy: *waa haa haa haa* me shakespeare? or yeats? i think not... but i'm glad you appreciate my comments... if you were to compare me to a poet, i think the best approximation in depth of idea might be Ogden Nash, and the most similar in style might be kurt cobain *heh*... i'm nothing special in the world of poetry... you, however, show a lot of promise and i hope that you keep writing
