hi yall, i'm new here and i thought i would post this poem. all comments are welcome. and if anyone knows please tell me how to get this on the main site. thanks!! tell me what ya think of this poem. i got more to post if yall like them. your friend jesse jaymz FOREVER SCARRED I stand in the darkness You stand in the light You are surrounded by happieness And I am lost in the night You've led a good life While my life's been hell I've spent most of my life Trapped inside the cell But since I've met you My life started to change I actually felt happiness My life started to rearange I changed all of my ways I left it all behind As long as I have you My life would be just fine My heart started to heal The black scars started to fade Darkness turning to light I thought I hade it made But then you said it's over Then you said it's through The darkness is returning I dont know what to do You said we'd be together For forever and a day But now that we've broke up I don't know what to say My heart's been forever scared Deeper than before My heart turns to stone Solid to the core Now I'll return to the shadows From the darness from which I came With my battered soul and broken heart I will never be the same So i'll return the the darkness Alone and in pain Not trusting anyone And alone I will remain... |

Hi Jesse. Welcome to the family! I've sent you a special email..hope you like it. You write a good poem, and I'm sure it will be gratefully accepted on the main site. For right now, submissions are limited to members of the forum. Ron (the owner of the site) is furiously working to get poetry posted on the main site so he can start accepting poems again. A lot of the poetry is sort of rough..misspelled words..no punctuation...and we all want our work to look professional, so he spends a lot of time 'fixing up' the submissions. If you are a member with 50 or more posts, you will find a submission icon next to your edit icon on your post...check mine out.. there's the profile icon..email icon..edit icon..web page icon..and ICQ icon...when I post a poem, there's also a submission icon, so I can send a poem for submission...so when you've been around a bit you can submit right from your post! Good luck. Let me know if I can ever be of assistance! [This message has been edited by Poet deVine (edited 01-25-2000).] |

Nice poem!Just a few words, the greater your sorrow, the more hapiness you can contain. These experiences can make you all the wiser, it's just a part of life... |

An excelent piece i enjoyed it thoroughly Hope to read more personally i prefer the forums to the main page (no offense to anyone trying to post there) but i feel the forums are more personal. I used to write to all over mainly to main sites and i became members and (in some cases) founder member of sites but i stopped and now i write here. |

Jesse I loved this! Welcome to our dark forum family. Sorry I wasn't welcoming you earlier my little one is sick. Is this the chat room poem you referred to? If not, but I think it is, please post it. You don't need the courage here, you are among our family of friends now, it is a haven.. Welcome Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely. ~Isis~ (Sovereign of the Spirit) |

Jesse I feel your pain man! Try and remember the good things about it and dont dwell on the loss. It will drive you crazy and it could take you back to that darkness. I can so relate to this but it is hard to write it so thanks for posting this!! "Write down what you say if what you say is not written down" (Bojopy) |

Jesse this is good. You really expressed your feelings well. Good choice for the title...Forever Scarred. I always feel like if a woman can break my heart and hurt me another woman will come along to help heal that broken heart and bring joy to my heart. James |

Jesse...I do think you did a wonderful job expaining your feelings in this piece and I enjoyed it much! I have lived for a long time by one saying that my grandmother told me ..... "what hurts the most can only make you stronger in the end!" Try to remember this...it has helped me through a lot! Many good wishes and waiting to read more of your words. There is an alter ego which dwells in every soul... a-alibaster |

this is very good jesse, words and rhyme are the poets muse, we need little else. when our hearts ache we turn to words, time heals all wounds, and poetry sometimes is the medicine of the soul. also thanks for the reply on my "cold cold rain" it was much apprecitated. mo. |
