|
Love is broken by crystalized winds of ice, Emotion's winter has set in and we pay the price. Hearts like stone pound holes within our chests, And upon innocent ground a crimson flood rests. Fallen angels crawl with slithering demons below, Rejection's pain waters barren soil in a torrent flow. Poisoned daggers slice into softened, tender flesh, The barrier of nightmare and reality is dangerously meshed. Screams of intolerance echo heavily in deeply scarred minds, Repeatedly beaten on by the cruel fists of slowly creeping time. Engulfing one's soul with illusions of dark, slightly ruby stained, Withdrawing the evil within us all, this emotion we call pain. ------------------ *Krista Knutson* "If I could be an angel, I'd make your every wish come true. Thank you for your wonderful praise, Ms. deVine. Well, as for probably many of us here, my dream is to write. I am both a poet and an amateur novelist.
