They're black and bare
ancient in their own earth
yet still beautiful
in some cold divinity
Pale blue
and melted down black,
the sky overturns
as heavy set clouds
march on across the horizon
Like the Wild Hunt they storm,
Rumbling and pounding
deep into the cold, damp earth
Claiming the souls of the empty,
free wanderers trying to duck away,
but to no avail
The spirit hunts down and enraptures,
pouring and twirling around the hearts
before consuming it whole
and forever remaining in it's grace

Aah Maharet another beauty.  Tell me can you write a yucky poem?  LOL
Loved the line 'the spirit hunts down and enraptures'

Let your heart guide you. It whispers, so listen closely.

lol..thankx Isis. Believe me I have. lol@poem about chicken ramen
It was a comparison between life and cooking. You know how you burn sometimes but after awhile you get good at it. Or you don't...but you learn something...and there are plenty of other things to move on to. Well, it was corny but I was in a writing mood so...Chicken Ramen anyone?

Maharet,
I'll take some of that ramen if it will make me write like this.  Excellant piece.  Great imagery.

lol...Well thank you Michael but I don't think I deserve such praise.
I can make ramen now..(but only with adult supervision and guidence)   I wouldn't mind sharing. My next triumph....mastering mashed potatoes!!   Thankx Michael.

Maharet, as in the Maharet from Anne Rice's "Queen of The Damned", perhaps?  (love that book).  As do I love this poem.  Truly exellent work.
