Many battles I have fought With no one there who really cares Your shoulders are strong Your hands ever gentle As you hold me close Giving me the strength to carry on Lost at the bend Don't know which way to go Your guidance has lead me To the path that I must take At times I stumble over the rocks and twigs A path worn down from many treks You have picked me up time and again Never once have you mentioned The sorrow that you feel For the condition that I am in The cancer is there It won't go away I won't let it win I won't won't give in |

This is awesome. I can relate so well,as I have been very ill and recovering. Your writing here is excellent. You know, my father passed from Cancer in 1993. It was sad, but at the same time, because of this I've come to see some real triumphs over cancer in my days. It can be done. You definately have the right attitude, and all my prayers. Michael |

I have never been one to give up easily, and I am not about to let this minor problem stop me from liveing and enjoying a normal life. Thank you all for your words of encouragement. I really do appreciate it. |

I have had friends recover from various forms of cancer, it can be done. With your attitude you have a good head start on it. We should all take this poem as an example and not let anything negative in our lives kill or destroy us. You'll be in my prayers ((HUGS))  At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet.
