When I wake in the early morning light, I can't bring myself to rise Like a mummy wrapped in linen, sleeping in a golden tomb while the rest of the world continues, just as it always does From the frosty air seeping into my room, my skin feels like marble except for the occasionalbumps or indents With a deep weighting sigh I slowly rise from my tender, self-arrest Although I am still burned from the night before, It has past, (until awakened again) and I must welcome the new day |

Oh it's like you read my soul. I too do this most days, we aren't supposed to register hurt let alone feel it for a day or two.. Bravo At the touch of love everyone becomes a poet. (Plato) ~Isis~ (Daughter of Mystery) |

Thank you...I'm sure that most of us if not all of us have felt this way atleast once. I guess the thing is...to just believe that tomorrow's light is worth seeing. Believe me Sven...I'm trying... |
