I see you drive away
Now I can take off my mask
and picture you the way you were
the time that i saw you last

Of course,
I may often see you again
but when that happens
i'll be put under the label "just a friend"

This doesnt bother me
no, not at all
My heart has overcome many obstacles
before it too the fall

So, i hope i made alittle indent
in the thing you call your "heart"
because if i didnt then...
man...i'm glad we're apart.

Ah, I love the ending and the strength you portray in understanding sometimes you really are better off apart. Good poem, starboards.

Now this is what I like to read, great outlook star! Seems as though your spirits are lifting a bit. Great poem and I too thought it was a great ending.

Great job starboards! I've got to show this to my friend..she's having a little trouble in this department and maybe this'll help her understand that being alone can be just as important being a pair. Well, maybe not alone..but an individual. Love the outlook on this...because in the end it's not someone else who frees you from your cage, that can only be done by you. Obviously, you've come a long way and I'm glad to see you've made it...so far...but I think, judging by the ending, that you'll be alright.

DE and Isis...thanks for all you have said...

DE, I cant really say that I've done well in my journey...i've merely scraped on the bottom to make it through...and i'm not even half way there yet...it gets harder everyday but tell your friend that i'm going through the same problem and tell her that she's not alone...
