Beguile me not with your sweetly tongued lies N’er this heart shall your deception do harm Stole you this arrow ‘neath Cupid’s sweet guise Away! Wretch, I have no need for your smarm Nay, sing to me not of love’s great design Truly its scheme you know nothing about The martyr you play intends no malign Beware, your façade will leave you with-out I’ve done my time in Compassion’s Great hall Trying my best to be nothing but kind You will not confine me inside your kraal Imprisoned you are, within your own mind I gave you the chance of friendship divine Your absence is bliss, it’s your loss…not mine |

Satiate!!! Wonderful Sonnet....yes, a sonnet. You have learned another verse form. Keep on learning girl...there is so much out there. Very crafty retort for that Machiavellian seducer. Mayhaps he will learn that mental adultery is the same thing as physical adultery. The intent is the same. Keep it up, Satiate. Alicat the impressed kilted kitty |

This is so good. I've felt just like this over a lost friendship/love that fell on a cold heart! ------------------ Helewes |
