'Twas a weekend for thinking, and through the
lambent corridors of its manor, the
daystar glided. Seductive greens chorused her arduous
hymns. Through every genus of the weald ferns
flinched bashfully in the wind--and mine eyes
evolved. The naïve musings of youth gave
way to imaginings of the whir of
engine and blade. Sunbeams gave new purpose
to the moment. A rhythmical glimmer
descended from her lay and I listened in
awe. Dropped pine needles dreamt of the winter
that was to come...they dreamt of the pungent
odor of the sea while the world settled
in slumber. Their fragrance distilled quiet
elation within me--perhaps e'en the wonder
of the enchantment we had once spun out
as children--finger-painting with raindrops.

Remember, if you're not part of the future, you're history!
