Picture by Jim Warren * * * My mind is awash with emotion As I walk beside the sea Waves of darkness are looming They cast a shadow over me The grey sky suits my mood There is no sun to be seen The ocean looks so angry As it changes from blue to green My arms envelop my body I try to keep the wind at bay I struggle to find happiness On this dark depressing day But as I look towards the horizon A ray of light shines through It gives me hope and inspiration As grey skies turn to blue I am in motion |

But as I look towards the horizon A ray of light shines through It gives me hope and inspiration As grey skies turn to blue Love this ending especially, Sue. All of it is beautiful. Hugs, Ethel |

This reminds me of my last visit to the coast. About 14 of us were walking along the beach, I was trying to watch everyone and make sure no one was lost, (it was a church retreat so there were kids too, and were were about a half mile away from where we were staying) weather was fine. But then a huge storm cloud came and within seconds people scrambled, by the time hail hit several were running back to camp. Once we were all inside (and I had finished a head count to make sure nobody was missing) I sat down on a bench to watch the ocean a little longer, and just then a beam of light shone through. Almost immediately the hail and rain stopped, within minutes the grass and sand were dried. It was just beautiful... Not really sure why I shared that story, this just reminded me of it You really do write beautifully... Always, Alyssa He was a man of sorrows ...I am a girl of tears. |
